The Kinship Program is a 6-week program designed to help grandparents, first-time mothers, or siblings who are facing a variety of difficulties as they adjust to their duties as primary caregivers to their children, grandchildren, or siblings. Throughout the year, Jada House will implement 3 seasonal cohorts (spring, summer, and autumn). The program will consist of 7-15 participants who meet once a week for 6 weeks every Wednesday 4-6 pm. Integrated into the program will be reflections on Black history and relative social justice information, health education, technical instruction (that includes light computer/phone navigation classes, fraud scam awareness, and social media tips), art therapy, workforce hub, mental health, and on-site childcare options.
Every Wednesday March 13-April 17 4:00-6:00 pm.
