We’re working to build a database of local, minority owned businesses (example people of color, indigenous peoples, etc.). If you are a business like this , or know a business, that would like to be on this list, please reach out HERE.
Where we spend our money matters. Each purchase that we make here at Carnegie Mellon University is an opportunity to invest in local, minority-owned businesses. Purchasing food for events, meetings, and gatherings is a low-barrier way to support these businesses and be better neighbors to the broader community. Cornelia Moore, Purchasing Manager in Civil & Environmental Engineering, has created this directory to purchase from minority-owned businesses in the Greater Pittsburgh region. We want to express our sincere thanks to her for these efforts and hope you share this vital resource with fellow staff, faculty, and students.
